CIS STEEL BILLET: Higher offer prices driven by raised materials costs

CIS steel billet producers have increased their offer prices to foreign customers with support from the global uptrend in raw materials costs, Fastmarkets heard on Monday November 16.

The region's mills have almost sold out their December-shipment volumes and were seeking higher prices for January-shipment cargoes, sources said.

Offers from some of the major mills in Ukraine and Russia were heard in the range of $430-440 per tonne fob Black Sea. Some suppliers were offering at prices close...
