CIS billet suppliers continued to push for higher prices after completing few sales to Turkey while buyers at other destinations were largely quiet, struggling to keep up with the price rally, market sources told Fastmarkets on Friday November 27.
By the end of this week, offers from most CIS mills had surged to $500-510 per tonne fob Black Sea, according to those sources. While some producers were still offering billet at $480-490 per tonne fob, "this price will not be available next week", one source said - a sentiment with which many agreed.One...
