The mumbling tune of Auld Lang Syne lingers, though the hangovers have by now subsided, nonetheless, the early New Year schedule remains holiday-like.

Indeed there are no particularly notable marks in the diary, the most interesting being an AGM for Cambria Automobiles Plc (LON:CAMB) and a couple of stocks going ex-dividend.

The more worthwhile matters in the agenda are the economic, and even then they're minor releases.

Thursday January 4:

AGM: Cambria Automobiles PLC (LON:CAMB)

FTSE 100 ex-dividends: To clip 0.83 points off index - British Land PLC (LON:BLND), Experian PLC (LON:EXPN); Next Plc (LON:NXT)

Economic data: UK services PMI; UK mortgage approvals; US Chicago PMI
