Cobalt, DLT Labs develop blockchain to trace supply chain

Canadian resource firm Cobalt Blockchain Inc (COBC) and DLT Labs Inc have completed a joint venture agreement to commercialize Mintrax, a blockchain platform to track the provenance of metals and minerals through the mining supply chain.

Mintrax is the first enterprise-grade blockchain platform built to ensure compliance with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development due diligence framework for the provenance of ethically sourced minerals. This framework ensures it addresses child labor and other challenges associated with artisanal and small-scale mining in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The agreement comes as consumers around the world seek secure and transparent methods for tracking and certifying responsible manufacturing....
