COKING COAL DAILY: Higher domestic prices support seaborne market sentiment

Seaborne coking coal prices slightly increased in the cfr market and stayed flat in the fob market on Thursday June 10, with market sources reporting active restocking for domestic coking coal due to a supply shortage, which boosted market sentiment for both domestic and imported coking coal.

Premium hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $168.68 per tonne, up $0.18 per tonne
Premium hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $283.54 per tonne, up $0.67 per tonne
Hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $145.43 per tonne, flat
Hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $249.62 per tonne, up $1.68 per tonne
In China, most buyers adopted a wait-and-see attitude after the higher-than-expected offering level for American premium low-volatility (PLV) hard coking coal on Thursday.
