COKING COAL DAILY: Prices diverge in fob, cfr markets

Coking coal prices diverged on Thursday July 1, with cfr prices reversing amid expectations of easing domestic supply tightness in July and fob prices continuing to increase due to restocking demand, sources told Fastmarkets.

Premium hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $191.80 per tonne, up $1.48 per tonne
Premium hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $306.59 per tonne, down $0.94 per tonne
Hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $163.42 per tonne, unchanged
Hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $266.21 per tonne, down $1.61 per tonne
Most market participants adopted a wait-and-see approach to the seaborne coking coal market on Thursday July 1, which is the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party.
