COKING COAL DAILY: Seaborne premium coking coal prices largely stable

Seaborne premium hard coking coal prices remained largely stable in both the fob and cfr markets on Wednesday March 31, with little trading activity apparent, sources told Fastmarkets.

Premium hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $114.67 per tonne, up $0.30 per tonne
Premium hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $214.15 per tonne, up $0.59 per tonne
Hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $107.65 per tonne, unchanged
Hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $199.07 per tonne, down $0.02 per tonne
In the cfr market, traders and steel mills adopted a wait-and-see approach on Wednesday, with traders sticking to their offer levels for coking coal from North America, while most buyers showed little interest in lower-quality seaborne cargoes.
