COKING COAL DAILY: Seaborne prices rise further on supply tightness

Seaborne coking coal prices climbed again on Wednesday February 19, with market participants in China citing tight supply as the key driver of the upward movements.

Fastmarkets indices
Premium hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $158.29 per tonne, up $2.86 per tonne
Premium hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $166.94 per tonne, up $2.36 per tonne
Hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $133.50 per tonne, up $6.49 per tonne
Hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $146.95 per tonne, unchanged

Chinese market participants said that premium low-vol materials were likely to fetch prices of around $166-168 per tonne cfr China...
