COKING COAL DAILY: Steel production cuts put pressure on cfr prices

Coking coal prices were largely stable on Thursday July 8, with sellers and buyers in China's cfr market assessing the potential impact of the government's desire to limit steel production.

Premium hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $202.33 per tonne, up $0.08 per tonne
Premium hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $308 per tonne, down $0.35 per tonne
Hard coking coal, fob DBCT: $173.58 per tonne, up $0.16 per tonne 
Hard coking coal, cfr Jingtang: $266.21 per tonne, down $0.67 per tonne
The seaborne coking coal market in China is under downward pressure, with most traders adopting a wait-and-see attitude without active offers on Thursday.
