COKING COAL DAILY: Supply concerns emerge in Queensland

Seaborne coking coal prices were flat on Monday March 11 in the absence of trades, but market participants have raised concerns over possible logistical disruptions in Queensland, Australia.

Developments at the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) and near it could affect coal supply from the port, sources said.A train derailed close to the DBCT on Sunday while at the port, issues relating to its unloading equipment have been reported, they said.Rail freight operator Aurizon and the port's operator could not be reached for comment at the time of writing."It is difficult to say whether this will affect seaborne supply immediately but we expect the issues to be resolved in the next couple of days,"...
