Despite all the volatility in the marketplace, U.S. equities and particularly the tech sector remains the best place for investor capital, according to one fund manager. Mining and commodities are near the bottom of the barrel when it comes to relative strength in the current market environment, said Ted Bader, president of SIA Wealth management, in an interview with Kitco News on the sidelines of the Inside ETFs Conference in Montreal, Canada. "Mining is not at the bottom, but it is what we consider one of our weaker sectors," he said. "There are more positive opportunities above the mining sector," he said. Bader noted that with SIA's rules-based formula, the firm needs to see consistent momentum in the mining sector before it attracts their interest. "Right now we just aren't seeing that," he said.
