COPPER CONCS SNAPSHOT: TC/RCs drop on lower trader buying terms

Fastmarkets' benchmark copper concentrate treatment and refining charge (TC/RC) index dropped on Friday June 12 with traders eager to buy tonnages on a spot basis.

The spot index fell to $47.50 per lb / 4.75 cents per lb on Friday from 49.6 per tonne/4.96 cents per lb a week ago.
During the week, a tender for 40,000 tonnes of Los Pelambres concentrate delivered in the second half this year and first half of next year was awarded at TCs ranging from the high $30s to the mid $40s.
