Higher transaction volumes were reported in  the spot market for copper concentrates with Chinese smelters starting to procure for fourth quarter production, pressuring processing charges to a new low this week. 

Fastmarkets' copper concentrates treatment charges/refining charges index is now at its lowest level since launch in 2013.  

During the week, multiple parcels were sold to Chinese smelters at a consistent level between the high-$40s to low-$50s, including US-origin brands offered at mid-$40s. Demand for concentrates...
