(IDEX Online) - Tiffany & Co has reportedly told its 5,000 US workers they must start working two days a week on site, from 1 March. The French luxury conglomerate LVMH, which completed its acquisition of the New York-based jeweler last month, wants to bring it in line with the hybrid working schedule operated at its other interests."It's critical at this time of change that we adopt a hybrid approach to onsite-remote working," LVMH told staff in a memo, according to the Wall Street Journal. The Business of Fashion website, which also reported the move, cited an internal document, which, it said, read: "As positivity rates start to decrease and given that we are now part of the broader LVMH family, we are uniquely situated to find new ways in which we can work together."LVMH, which bought Tiffany for $15.8bn after prolonged negotiations, reportedly places greatly emphasis on physical presence at the workplace and wants to achieve a speedy integration of staff.
