Monarques Gold of Montreal says its 2018 drilling program has increased the size of its Croinor gold deposit 50 km east of Val d'Or. And the deposit continues to yield exceptional grades.

Highlights from the additional 6,645-metre diamond drill program include these assays:

Hole CR-18-685: 17.26 g/t gold over 2.0 metres, including 50.10 g/t over 0.6 metres;Hole CR-18-676: 10.33 g/t gold over 1.8 metres, including 25.40 g/t over 0.7 metres;Hole CR-18-678: 40.50 g/t gold over 1.00 metre; andHole CR-18-683: 23.61 g/t gold over 1.6 metres, including 43.70 g/t over 0.7 metres.

The Croinor deposit remains open in all directions. Further drilling will focus on both infill drilling to upgrade the resources and on purely exploration drilling. At last count there were 80,100 measured tonnes grading 8.44 g/t gold and 725,500 measured tonnes at 9.20 g/t.

Croinor is a historic gold producer for which Monarques completed a prefeasibility study last year.
