DADA in JV with Enervoxa for bauxite residue at New Day's Gramercy refinery

DADA Holdings LLC, the principal owner of New Day Aluminum, and Canada-based green technologies firm Enervoxa have formed a joint venture (JV) to extract rare earth elements and minerals from bauxite residue at New Day's Gramercy alumina refinery in Louisiana, the United States.

The venture, called ElementUS, will use Enervoxa technology to separate bauxite residue into its component materials, including several rare earth elements as well as iron, titanium and alumina.
The refinery's bauxite residue contains 10 of the 17 rare earth elements and 15 minerals identified as strategic and critical by the US Defense Logistics Agency, many in unusually high concentrations.
