DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Turkish mills book more cargoes, prices firm

Turkish steel producers have continued to make deep-sea scrap purchases on Friday December 13, with prices climbing higher, sources said.

A steel mill in the Izmir region booked a Baltic Sea cargo, comprising 24,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $299.50 per tonne, 3,500 tonnes of bonus at $309.50 per tonne and 2,500 tonnes of busheling at $314.50 per tonne cfr.A steel mill in the Marmara region booked a US cargo, comprising HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $300 per tonne, shredded at $305 per tonne and bonus at $310 per tonne cfr. The cargo breakdown was not clear at the time of publication but typical cargo volume from the US is around 40,000 tonnes.The same mill also booked a European cargo, comprising 25,000 tonnes...
