DAILY STEEL SCRAP: Mills extend silence in deep-sea market

Turkish steel producers ended the working week with no deep-sea bookings, amid limited demand in the country's domestic long steel market, sources told Fastmarkets on Friday April 16.

There have been no deep-sea bookings since the end of last week, when a steel mill in the Iskenderun region paid an average price of $436 per tonne cfr for 35,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (95:5) and 15,000 tonnes of shredded.
