DAILY STEEL SCRAP: Mills finish the week with six deep-sea deals

Turkish steel producers made no deep-sea bookings on Friday August 28, after booking several cargoes earlier in the week, sources told Fastmarkets.

Six deep-sea cargoes totalling around 220,000 tonnes were booked by Turkish steelmakers from various sources at strengthening prices this week.
After a hiatus of more than two weeks earlier this month, the steel producers resumed their deep-sea scrap bookings on August 25.

A steel mill in the Marmara region booked a Baltic Sea cargo comprising 38,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $283 per tonne, 1,500 tonnes of bonus scrap at $293 per tonne and 1,500 tonnes of busheling at...
