DAILY STEEL SCRAP: Prices continue to climb despite limited demand

Turkish deep-sea scrap import prices continued to increase on Monday October 4 on a fresh European cargo heard, market participants told Fastmarkets.

A steel mill in the Iskenderun region booked a European cargo comprising 5,000 tonnes of heavy melting scrap 1&2 (80:20) at $440 per tonne, and 3,000 tonnes of shredded and 1,500 tonnes of bonus at $455 per tonne cfr.
The cargo will be shipped before November 20.
