DAILY STEEL SCRAP: Prices flat as market falls quiet for religious holiday

The Turkish steel scrap import market was quiet on Friday July 31 because of the Eid al-Adha religious holiday across the region, with no bookings heard and prices flat as a result.

Earlier in the week and late last week, however, a number of cargoes were booked.
Late on July 24, a steel mill in northern Turkey booked a United States-origin cargo comprising 15,000 tonnes of shredded at $275 per tonne and 15,000 tonnes of bonus at $280 per tonne cfr.
