Turkish steel mills continued to make deep-sea scrap purchases at a slow pace at the end of the working week, with prices remaining fairly stable, sources told Fastmarkets.

A steel producer in the Marmara region booked a Baltic Sea cargo comprising HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $360 per tonne and bonus at $370 per tonne cfr late on Thursday December 3. The cargo breakdown was not disclosed by the parties.
As a result of this transaction, the daily scrap indices were largely stable on Friday December 4.
