LONDON, 11 June 2023 - Comment and analysis from BullionVault features today in a report on how to protect savings against inflation published in German broadsheet newspaper Der Tagesspiegel.
"As a rule," the paper quotes director of research Adrian Ash, "gold prices perform well when interest rates on cash or bonds lag behind inflation. This is because gold does not pay interest, but its supply cannot be inflated and nor can the metal be destroyed by anyone else's financial failure."
