Desheng maintenance to remove 700 tonnes from China's V2O5 market, sources say

Desheng Group, one of China's major producers of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), plans to suspend production and conduct equipment maintenance across its operations, including at its ironmaking and steelmaking facilities, market sources told Fastmarkets.

The overhaul, which will be mainly carried out at Desheng Group's vanadium and titanium company in Leshan, in the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan, will take place from October and will likely last 15-30 days. The outage is expected to result in the loss of around 700 tonnes of V2O5 supply from the Chinese domestic market, according to a source familiar with the matter.
