The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was a horrid 50-107-133. The TSX Venture Exchange fell 14 points to 817 while polished diamond prices edged lower. Lukas Lundin and Eira Thomas's Lucara Diamond Corp. (LUC) dropped six cents to $2.08 on 1.84 million shares. The company shuffled some of its management this week, appointing Zara Boldt as chief financial officer and secretary, replacing Glenn Kondo as CFO and Jennifer Lecour as secretary.
Dermot Desmond and Dr. Rory Moore's Kennady Diamonds Inc. (KDI), down one cent to $3.04 on 41,000 shares, is closing in on the 2,000-metre mark of its spring drill program at the Faraday kimberlites on its Kennady North project, 10 kilometres northeast of Gahcho Kue in the Northwest Territories. The work includes three exploration holes and one geotechnical hole completed at the Faraday 1-3 kimberlite -- still technically the Faraday 1 and Faraday 3 pipes that Kennady believes join at depth. As well, two delineation holes have been completed at Faraday 2.
