(IDEX Online) - Yoram Dvash is to stand down as president of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) to focus on his role at the helm of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses He'd been acting president of the WFDB since April and was confirmed in the position for a three-year term by a digital election two weeks ago.He replaces Ernie Blom, from South Africa, who said he was stepping aside for medical, family and personal reasons. Mr Dvash, 56, who runs the manufacturing and trading company Y. Dvash Diamonds Ltd, will not stand for re-election when his third term at the helm of the IDE expires in December. "For the past five years I have been given the privilege of working for the members of the Israel Diamond Exchange during one of the most challenging, and important periods in the industry," said Mr Dvash (pictured)."I thank the IDE Board and its members for the trust they have placed in me and for allowing me to initiate, create and lead."
