The recently opened anti-dumping investigation into Turkish exports of hot-rolled coil to the EU fails to comply with the principles of the Customs Union and Free Trade Agreements between Turkey and the European Commission (EC), the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) told Fastmarkets on Thursday May 21.
The EC started an anti-dumping investigation into imports of hot-rolled coil originating from Turkey on May 14. European steel association Eurofer had lodged a complaint with the EC, alleging that HRC was exported from Turkey at dumped prices in April 2020."Unfortunately, we see that the EC [responds to] Eurofer's expectations.
