EGYPT STEEL BILLET, REBAR: Billet import prices fall; market expects removal of rebar, billet safeguard duties

Steel billet import price fell in Egypt in the week to Thursday, July 1, with market partiipants expecting the country's anti-dumping duties on rebar imports to be removed or reduced, sources told Fastmarkets.

Egypt imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on rebar from China (29%), Ukraine (17.2-27%), and Turkey (7-22.8%) in December 2017.

Now it appears the Ministry of Trade and Industry is about to call for the removal or a reduction to these...
