Emeralds Top Princess Eugenie's Wedding Look

RAPAPORT... Princess Eugenie's bridal jewels were all about emeralds ather wedding to Jack Brooksbank on Friday. The UK royal wore a headpiece made of brilliant- and rose-cutdiamonds pav?(C)-setin platinum, with a large emerald center stone surrounded by six emeralds on eitherside. The center emerald is 93.70 carats, according to news website The Inquisitr. The princess's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, lent her the GrevilleEmerald Kokoshnik Tiara. It was designed by Boucheron for Dame Margaret Greville in1919, who bequeathed it to the queen's mother in 1942. Eugenie also sported a matching set of diamond and emerald dropearrings, which the groom gave her as a wedding gift, Kensington Palace said. For her evening reception at Royal Lodge Windsor, theprincess wore those earrings with a hair slide, which she also borrowed fromthe queen. The Wheat-Ear Brooches - which can be worn either as hair slides orbrooches - were originally commissioned by William IV in 1830 for his wife, QueenAdelaide. They were passed down to Queen Victoria in 1837, and eventually toQueen Elizabeth in 1952.
