Emmerson finds cobalt with high-grade gold, copper...

The headline hit revealed by Emmerson's assaying was 28m grading 5.83 grams per tonne gold, 0.17% cobalt, and 8.52% copper, with the ASX junior making the point the grades of the combined metals would make for potentially very high value ores.

Jasper Hills is close to Emmerson's Edna Beryl project which is being mined on a small scale as part of a tribute mining venture.

Emmerson has 100% of the ground after a multi-year joint venture involving gold miner Evolution covering the whole Tennant Creek region was recently finished-up.

Emmerson knows the high grade but difficult to explore region very well having been building up its exploration knowledge and honing its targeting techniques for the past 10 years.

The junior had A$5.4 million (US$4.2 million) at the start of 2018.

Shares in Emmerson were up 10% to $0.087 in afternoon trade, capitalising the company at $35 million.

The stock has been bouncing around at similar levels for the past six months.
