EnGold extends mineralization at Lac La Hache

Vancouver-based EnGold Mines has successfully extended the high grade gold-bearing quartz veins at its Lac La Hache property in the Cariboo region.

The veins include a series of narrow, quartz-carbonate, gold-silver sulphide veins in several new showings chosen after follow-up to the 2018 soil geochemical results. The seven hole, 463-metre drill program extended the Main vein to 180 metres total strike length, and it remains open.

Here are some highlights:

Hole AZS19-74 cut 21.2 g/t gold over 0.30 metre.Hole AZS19-79 intersected the vein more than 180 metres to the southeast, about 50 metres beyond the previously defined end. It intersected 6.3 g/t gold, 0.48 % copper, 11.8 g/t silver over 0.50 metre.Hole AZS19-76 intersected 164 g/t gold, 0.95 % copper, 69.6 g/t silver over 0.15 metre.

In addition to the drill campaign, EnGold geologists took grab samples from trenching on strike of the PG zone. The samples returned gold values of 40.6, 57.6 and 96.1 g/t, copper values of 1.1%, 1.2% and 3.6%, and silver values of 169, 207 and 212 g/t.

"Although the mineralized hanging wall structures encountered to date are narrow, the high gold grades are encouraging," said VP of exploration Rob Shives, "and the potential to extend them laterally and to depth is good."
