Ethereum hits all-time high, SHIBA INU explodes, Squid Game coin up 75,000% this week - Ben Samaroo

(Kitco News) - Altcoins lead the charge in this week's crytpo marketaction, with Ethereum hitting an all-time high on Friday. Other notablementions include SHIBA INU, and Squid Game, a new token inspired by the hitNetflix series "Squid Game."

Ben Samaroo, CEO of WonderFi, discusses with David Lin,anchor for Kitco News, why the markets are up this week and what futureadvances in DeFi will do for the investment landscape.

"Everybody's excited about Ethereum. There have been sometechnical upgrades to the [Ethereum] network, which is just providing some moreconfidence. Bitcoin has recently hit all-time highs. That's definitelyproviding more excitement about the space, people are looking at the assetclass a lot more," Samaroo said.

SHIBA INU climbed 20% on Friday, while Squid Game coinrallied 75,000% in one week.
