EU flat steel distributor shipments rise 3% in October

European distributors of flat steel products have reported a 3.3% year-on-year rise in shipment volumes during October 2020, regional steel industry association Eurometal said on Tuesday December 8.

Over the first 10 months of 2020, however, flat steel distributors' shipments dropped by 14.0% year-on-year.
Eurometal did not disclose individual product volumes.
Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, at ?,?577.50 ($700.04) per tonne on December 8, up by ?,?0.83 per tonne from ?,?576.67 per tonne on December 7.
