EUROPE ALLOY STEEL SCRAP: Prices up on tight supply, higher nickel costs

The price of stainless steel scrap in Europe and the UK moved up this week because of tight supply and higher nickel costs, sources told Fastmarkets on Friday November 13.

Fastmarkets' weekly assessment for stainless steel scrap, 18/8 solids, domestic, delivered merchants UK, was ?950-1,000 ($1,251-1,317) per tonne on Friday, up by ?20-50 per tonne week on week from ?930-950 per tonne.
