Monthly European alloy surcharges for stainless steel products have increased for May due to the euro's weak position against the dollar, Fastmarkets heard on Friday April 26.

The May surcharge for grade-304 cold-rolled (CR) stainless sheet has increased to ?,?1,410-1,450 ($1,571-1,616) per tonne, a gain of ?,?20-23 per tonne from April levels, according to data released by Outokumpu, Acerinox and Aperam.Between March 20 and April 20, the period on which mills based their calculations...
