EUROPE BEAMS: Market continues to suffer from weak demand

Steel H-beam prices across Europe moved downward this week due to poor demand and uncertainty caused by sharp feedstock price falls, sources told Fastmarkets on Wednesday September 11.

Fastmarkets' price assessment for steel beams, domestic, delivered Northern Europe, was ?,?560-600 ($618-663) per tonne on September 11, down from ?,?565-600 per tonne a week ago.During September, demand has remained low with very little market activity, and falling scrap values are now putting pressure on prices, sources told...
