Europe ferro-chrome market flat with focus turning to 2021 contracts

The European high carbon ferro-chrome market was stable over week to Tuesday October 6 with muted market activity and an increased focus on negotiations for long-term contracts covering 2021, sources said.

Fastmarkets' ferro-chrome high carbon 6-8.5% C, basis 60-70% Cr, max 1.5% Si, delivered Europe price was assessed at $0.85-0.99 per lb Cr on Tuesday, unmoved from the previous week.
