EUROPE HRC: Domestic price up in north, stable in south, as demand creeps back

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil have moved upward in Northern Europe, supported by a lack of competitive import offers and a slow revival of demand, sources told Fastmarkets on Wednesday July 15.

Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, was calculated at ?,?405.43 ($461.00) per tonne on Wednesday, up by ?,?2.43 per tonne from ?,?403.00 per tonne on July 14.
Wednesday's index was based on deals heard at ?,?400-410 per tonne ex-works as well as achievable prices reported at ?,?400-415 per tonne ex-works.
