Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe moved up day on day on Tuesday September 1, driven by a combination of reduced output from domestic mills, a lack of import alternatives and some demand pick-up, sources told Fastmarkets

Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe was calculated at ?,?453.48 ($541.18) per tonne on September 1, up by ?,?3.03 per tonne from ?,?450.45 per tonne on Friday August 28.
