EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices hold stable in the north, slide in Italy

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil were stable in Northern Europe and down in Italy on Wednesday August 11 due to seasonally weak trading activity, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe at ?,?1,138.13 ($1,334.51) per tonne on August 11, down by ?,?0.62 per tonne from ?,?1,138.75 per tonne on August 10.
The index was down by ?,?9.12 per tonne week on week and by ?,?24.79 per tonne month on month.
Wednesday's index was based on achievable prices estimated by market sources at ?,?1,130-1,150 per tonne ex-works.
