EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices inch up in north, mills to seek further rises

Domestic transaction prices for hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe moved up slightly day on day on Tuesday July 7, with steelmakers insisting on further price rises, sources have told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, was calculated at ?,?403.13 ($455.49) per tonne on Tuesday, up by ?,?0.81 per tonne day on day from ?,?402.32 per tonne on July 6.
Tuesday's index was based on deals heard at ?,?400-410 per tonne ex-works.
