EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices on slow recovery to pre-lockdown level in north

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil continued to rise day on day in Northern Europe on Thursday September 3, gradually approaching the levels seen before Covid-19 lockdown measures were imposed, market sources have told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, was calculated at ?,?459.50 ($545.21) per tonne on Thursday, up by ?,?3.15 per tonne day on day from ?,?456.35 per tonne on Wednesday.
The index was also up by ?,?9.61 per tonne week on week and by ?,?47.00 per tonne month on month.
Thursday's index was based on a deal heard at ?,?450-480 per tonne ex-works.
