EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices stable despite pressure from poor demand

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe have been under downward pressure from limited demand, sources told Fastmarkets on Friday May 15.

Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, was ?,?411.88 ($444.86) per tonne on Friday, down by ?,?1.45 per tonne from ?,?413.33 per tonne on Thursday.

Friday's index was calculated based on "workable" prices and bids heard at ?,?400-410 per tonne ex-works, along with offers reported at the equivalent...
