EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices stable in North, pickup expected

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe have been fairly stable day on day but the mood in the market remained upbeat, sources told Fastmarkets on Friday January 24.

Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, ex-works Northern Europe, was ?,?460.81 ($510.25) per tonne on Friday, compared with ?,?461.18 per tonne on January 23.
The index was based on deals and "workable" prices heard at ?,?460-465 per tonne ex-works.

The market remained bullish...
