EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices stable, mills insist on more price increases

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe have been fairly stable day on day on Friday August 28, although the region's steelmakers continue to push for further price increases, sources told Fastmarkets

Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe was calculated at ?,?450.45 ($532.53) per tonne on Friday August 28, up by just ?,?0.56 per tonne day on day from ?,?449.89 per tonne on Thursday. The index was also up by ?,?16.70 per tonne week on week and by ?,?40.45 per tonne month on month.
Friday's index was based on deal heard at ?,?450 per tonne and achievable prices reported at ?,?450-460 per tonne.
