EUROPE HRC: Domestic producers bullish on supply tightness

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe were fairly stable day on day on Thursday October 29, but steelmakers remained bullish due to good order books and a lack of competitive import offers, market sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, at ?,?505.22 ($593.92) per tonne on Thursday, up by just ?,?0.22 per tonne day on day from ?,?505.00 per tonne on October 28.
The index was also up by ?,?7.72 per tonne week on week and by ?,?16.36 per tonne month on month.

Thursday's index was based on "achievable prices" heard at ?,?500-510 per tonne ex-works, latest deals reported at ?,?500-520 per tonne...
