EUROPE HRC: Market activity remains slow on long lead times

Domestic prices for hot rolled coil in Europe were fairly stable day on day on Monday October 5, although buyers have been holding back from deals because of the long lead times on domestic coil, sources have told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, at ?,?493.33 ($577.94) per tonne on Monday October 5, up by ?,?2.30 per tonne from ?,?491.03 per tonne on October 2.
The index was up by ?,?6.54 per tonne week on week and by ?,?28.94 per tonne month on month.
