EUROPE HRC: Tight supplies drive up domestic prices in the north

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe moved up day on day on Thursday November 5, due to long lead times at European mills and a lack of import offers, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe at ?,?511.34 ($597.98) per tonne on Thursday November 5, up by ?,?6.23 per tonne from ?,?505.11 per tonne on Wednesday.
The index was also up by ?,?6.12 per tonne week on week and by ?,?18.01 per tonne month on month.
