EUROPE HRC WRAP: Domestic price rises continue at slower pace

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil in Europe increased in the week to Friday June 4, but the pace of the rally has slowed compared with previous weeks.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe at ?,?1,148.57 ($1,397.26) per tonne on June 4, up by ?,?12.32 per tonne week on week and by ?,?137.57 per tonne month on month.
Friday's index was based on market participants' estimates of achievable prices at ?,?1,130-1,160 per tonne ex-works, transactions reported at ?,?1,140-1,150 per tonne ex-works and offers at ?,?1,170 per tonne ex-works.

Fastmarkets calculated its corresponding daily steel HRC index, domestic, exw Italy at ?,?1,141.00 per tonne on June 4, up by ?,?7.67 per tonne week...
