EUROPE HRC WRAP: Domestic prices keep rising on material shortage

Domestic prices for steel hot-rolled coil increased again across Europe in the week to Friday November 20, due to tight supply from both domestic and overseas suppliers.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, at ?,?541.25 ($641.66) per tonne on Friday, up by ?,?16.15 per tonne week on week and by ?,?44.75 per tonne month on month.
Friday's index was based on the latest deals heard at ?,?540-550 per tonne ex-works and achievable prices reported at ?,?530-550 per tonne ex-works.
